An estimated 1 million people will be entering Oregon to witness the first solar eclipse in 38 years to cross the continental United States. Due to this influx, some areas of Clackamas County may experience high traffic volume, power outages, cell service interruptions, and / or credit and debit card service interruptions. For reference, the Oregon Department of Transportation is predicting it will be the biggest traffic event in Oregon history. If some of these circumstances occur, it could prevent the credit union from safely operating.
It is our intent to be open, but for the safety of our members and our employees, Clackamas Federal Credit Union may need to close, open late, or close early for the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21st. We will carefully monitor the situation, and if we make changes to our open hours, we will post notices on our website, Facebook, and Twitter. As a precaution, we would like to encourage our members to do any banking before the eclipse if possible.
